broken

We broke up. I did it. I have tried to go back to him, but he...well, it's complicated. So he will go his way and I will go mine. Oh, but it hurts so much! So much. You know what I hate though? The fact that he seems to have moved on so quickly and easily. That really does bother me. When I am having the time of my life trying to get over him. Oh well. I guess that is life. Oh, I miss him so. You know, that feeling, when your heart gets broken. It really feels broken. It hurts so much.

I went to Alabama this last week, set up all the utilities so that they will turn off at the end of May at my house out there, went down to the school, and hung out with a bunch of my friends out there. I passed my comprehensive examinations, and am SO happy about that! :) I will actually be able to graduate! YAY!! :)

I am going to AZ this week for my cousin Kent's wedding. I am so happy for him! I will be glad to be with friends and family. I get to hang out with Franchesca, which will be great. We will be treating each other to dinner, or lunch or something. It will be fabulous, whatever we do.

That's all from me. Love to all of you!

moving...and problems

So we are in Amarillo, TX. Yes, I am really moving to NM right now. It kinda sucks, cause my blue wagon came with. It has broken down a grand total of 3 times so far on the trip, all of which were today. By the way, Happy St. Patty's Day!
We were able to fit EVERYTHING!!! Except for my beautiful chair. Reva and I had a lovely time going from Pier One to Pier One just for the blasted mattress I wanted that was on sale one time I was in Atlanta. Yes, I had to leave it behind. Perhaps I will be able to get it on another trip??? But in the mean time Amber will be taking it to use at her pad. TO BABYSIT!!! That is still MY chair.

Alright, every couple has problems before they get married, right? Well, we almost called the whole thing off. THUS Elizabeth is moving home right now. To try and save this baby. I don't know what the next few weeks are going to be like. What is pretty much set in stone I think is that June 30th isn't happening. Worst comes to worse we just move the date later. FINE WITH ME!!! Gives us more time to plan and more importantly to be with each other on a regular basis. We just need to BE with each other. The blasted phone just isn't doing either of us ANY favors. I have spent more time crying over the last 3 weeks than I think I ever have in my life. I love him so much, and to think we almost called the whole thing off??? SUCKS!!!

I need prayers. Bad. Please, I am being serious. Pray for us, and me. We need them. I need them.

Okay, that's all for now. I probably should get to bed. I am surprised my sister hasn't told me to get off of here yet. Night!

Alrighty

Okay okay, I am updating. He officially proposed!!! Yay!!! It was lovely. In Orlando, which is so special. What a wonderful trip, just full of so many wonderful memories. He was able to reunite with a number of sweet people he served with and taught. I really loved the man we stayed with. His name is Angel, and he is just so sweet! That's him to the left of Warren. It was Sunday, so we were all dressed up. (BTW, I gave Warren that tie. Pretty nice, huh??? :) )

Nope, no ring yet. It's being made. I am not sure when it will be finished actually. He may be surprising me with it or something. I wish I had something on my finger, but I am cool with it. Pictures will be sent of the new ring when I get it. A while ago when he was designing this ring for me he said I could do the same for him if I wanted to. So I have basically been freaking out for the last forever because I have NO clue what to do for him. Guys usually like to have a fairly plain ring, right? Or so I thought. I probably should ask him sometime soon what he would like on his ring. I think I may have been inspired recently for what to do...but we shall see.

So, yeah, I am moving...in a week. No boxes yet though. I am too busy with getting ready for this test. But once I have it out of the way, boxes boxes boxes. I don't know how we are going to fit everything. When I come back I may need to bring an extra bag or two to bring back whatever is leftover. Or maybe I should mail some stuff home. You know, some books or clothes or something.

Alright, I am procrastinating studying. Here I go. Pray for me!!!

Working at it

Alright, so maybe the first few...weeks were easy. Now we work. The problem is that he is there in NM and I am here in AL. BLECH!!! So we get irritated and mad about really stupid things. And it is totally because he can't see my face, I can't see his, my phone goes dead, he's really busy with something, it goes on. It's not every night, but it still happens.
I REALLY can't wait for him to get here. Next week!!! Yeah, Valentine's Day. :) We are going down to Orlando to go to Disneyworld too!!! I have never been there, so I am totally psyched about it. The coolest thing is that I get to meet a lot of the people he taught and worked with on his mission. Way excited for that. I think he's excited to go back there. He keeps in touch with a lot of them. The problem is that...I don't speak Spanish. He served in Orlando Spanish speaking. I understand a word here and there, but I really don't know right from left in that language. So it will definately have its awkward moments. We shall see how it goes. I hope some of his friends out there speak English. But we shall see.
All right, short and sweet. Love ya'll!!!

Our Anniversary

Alrighty, so today is our one month anniversary since we decided to become boyfriend/girlfriend. Yes, an exciting day indeed. Yeah, he totally doesn't remember. I have held off saying anything, but I didn't even think about this fact until later today anyways. So when he calls me back withing the next while, I am totally springing it on him. :) Ah, I love him. I do, I love him so much. He and I are so very good for each other. We had a rough moment for a while, but I think it was a result of the long distance, and I think it was good for us. We hadn't had one yet, and now it's good to see us working through the rough spots with a great deal of love and understanding for each other. It's not going to be all hunky-dory all the time, but most of the time it is.
Gosh, I can't say enough about him. I am in love. It is so easy, too. Even though we are so far apart, we have been good friends for a long time. I have said on a number of occassions actually that he's the kind of guy that I would make a pact with that if I was, say, 30 and still single, we should get married. Not that we were in love before, but I saw that there was potential there. :) And it is sooooo blossoming tremendously. I can't wait to see him!!! :) Can't wait. It will be a very very happy day when he shows up here in Alabama.
My knee? It's still very huge, but the stitches are out, which is wonderful!! It feels so much better without them, cause they really were pinching the skin pretty bad.
Yay!!! He called. Later, yo!!!

Saturday, January 13, 2007

Well, I have a boyfriend. Merry Christmas to me!!! 1:00am December 24th, 2006 we became 'official'. How about that, huh? Nice anniversary. And that date just happens to be his birthday. Happy birthday to Warren! Yep, that's his name. We are doing the long distance thing, and I swore up and down I would never do the long distance thing. EVER!! Anyways, I am totally happy. He's like perfect. For real. We've known each other for 11 years. He saw me at my absolute worst, and yet he is dating me! Yay!! I'm loving it! I am SO happy, you have no idea. Seriously, he is so wonderful. He and I have been friends over the years, I even emailed and wrote him on his mission and once I sent him a care package. But always just as a friend. He is an amazing actor, a fabulous businessman, and most importantly a faithful member of the Church, and THAT is so attractive. And let me tell you, we are moving along fast. I have a good feeling about this. :) In fact, he's coming out here Valentine's Day, and you can probably guess what he is going to do!!!! I am sooooooo happy!!!!

I got a Kitchenaid Mixer for Christmas. So was not expecting that for Christmas. I guess my parents got a sweet deal on it though, so that's cool.

Christmas and New Year's was just so wonderful. So much better than last year, let me tell you.

So I had knee surgery yesterday. Yes, I am just fine. The surgery turned out to be a very good thing. I have a tendency to dislocate my left knee, so I decided to finally do something about it and wha-la, surgery. So I am laid up right now. My knee is about 4 times the size it usually is. And it hurts. But I do not like the pain medication they gave me. I like the fact that it kills the pain but I get so dizzy and sick to my stomach. So I am thinking about going to Advil instead. I can handle that stuff. I have to wean myself off of the codeine first though. Blech!

Here is my knee before the surgery. Yes, I almost match my white socks with my whiteness...

And here it is after the surgery. Now take into account the fact that there is an ace bandage and some bandaging underneath. Still, it's humungous.
And here is totally out of it me and the beautiful flowers that my sweet Warren gave me. Aren't they gorgeous!!! He is so amazingly sweet and wonderful!

Yeah, so back to the man. He's so wonderful. He is everything I ever wanted and much more. He sent me flowers yesterday! I didn't hear the man knock at the door, but my Mom came up to my room with this big basket of flowers. From my sweet Warren. He's sooo wonderful. Good member of the Church, RM, amazing actor, incredible singer, incredibly handsome. Ah, I am soooo loving it.

Alright, that's all I can handle for right now. Have a good day!

Children singing

I teach the children at my church various religious songs to help them learn the Gospel. I LOVE teaching the junior primary. They are so sweet, and they do everything you ask. Senior primary is a challenge everyday. I have discovered that if I keep all of them directly in front of my, rather than spread out far to the right and left, I can keep their attention. But there are 2 of them who drive me bonkers and 1 who never participates, well, at least most of the time she doesn't. I wish I knew what I could do for her. I have decided that next time those two troublemakers cause a problem, I will take one of them out into the hall and give them a "halltalk" like we did with IRD, my old employer. The thing is they are both very sweet kids, but they just have too much energy built up inside of them. They need to learn to put that energy towards paying attention and being involved, not to being attention-getters. Anyways, they will sound great when they perform for church on Christmas Eve. I wish Bishop would have asked them to sing today, because I won't be here. Ah well. Such is life. Goodness, there isn't a faster way to feel the Spirit than listening to these kids sing. I love it!

I miss my Mommy SO much. I really need to be closer to family. I can't wait to move to AZ. I still say my parents should move there too. They live in NM. A lot of my Mom's family lives in AZ, and there is just something so wonderfully attractive about AZ. I love it so much and I can't wait to move back. The summer after I moved to Alabama I worked in AZ for the summer, and it just tore me to shreads when I moved away again. Gah!!! Leaving my family and my friends...it just really stank!

I wish there was something that I could do for my roommate. She is a theater major, and is so busy a lot of the time. She hasn't come to Church in a long time. She has performances, rehearsals and party's that go late, and so she gets home, conks out, and wakes up around the time I get home from Church. She really is missing so much. She is such a wonderful person, she has a strong testimony of the Gospel, she just needs to come to Church, at the very least for Sacrament meeting to partake of that ordinance. I really think her life would improve so much if she were to just do that.

Heather is sick today. She gets sick so often. I hope that this won't be something that haunts her for the rest of her life. She is such a sweet girl, and she is trying so hard to do everything that she is supposed to do. I hope she can hold on and stand strong. Her testimony is really growing. Today would have been her last Sunday here, but being that she was so sick she stayed home. She works as a nursery worker, and I am sure a number of parents will be grateful that she didn't get their kids sick, but still I think that she should've come to Sacrament Meeting. Maybe she was really down in the dirt sick, ya know?

That's all folks!!!
