Okay, so I went to the 24-30 year old institute tonight, as I did last week as well. Why did I return? Well, picture this: at least 25 of the guys there are taller than me, most of them are older than me, most of them are finished with school or finishing graduate degrees, AND most of them are RM's/worthy priesthood holders. Yeah, my last post still holds, I still care very much for Warren, BUT I am free, and man oh man did I have a feast tonight. :) Oh yeah, the lesson was great too. It was about having a positive attitude. Very interesting actually.
Ran into a few old friends of mine. Darren for one, who always and forever will remember my name and I will always forget his. Jenn, the oboist from ASU who has turned humanitarian which is totally cool.
And then there is this guy named Mark. I seriously had a crush on him from the moment I laid eyes on him, which was probably 5 years ago now. Very beautiful, has his head on straight, really good guy...and he is SO good looking. Had a good conversation with him after institute. Going to be a dentist. Tried a year of law school, and decided that really wasn't the thing for him. He remembered that I went away for a masters degree in music. I couldn't believe he remembered. Anyways, I swear when I left he had a wedding invitation up on the wall. Obviously something went awry. Well, he was a good friend then, very easy to talk to, so perhaps we can be friends again. I really want a good guy friend here, and he would be fabulous! VERY good looking, intelligent, and easy to talk too. My Tom replacement. :) ( For those of you who don't know, I had a best guy friend at ASU who everyone thought I was dating for the longest time, but we were just friends, although he would take me on Sonic and Applebees dates every once in a while). Gosh that would be great.
No news about ASU, will keep ya'll posted! :) Loves!!

Okay, okay, I am posting!!!
One of my best friends discovered my blog tonight, and she told me how entertaining it is. She was referring especially to the hot guy alert post from back in June. I re-read it, and discovered that it was rather comical. :) Maybe I should do stand up? Or not, I think I will stick with writing.
She suggested I write a book. I actually have often thought about that, but I don't think I am ready for such a huge undertaking. I need more life experiences before I conquer that battle. But I do believe one of these days I will write and publish a book.
Okay, so would you believe, school started here in my neck of the woods!!! We have a year round school system in my town, and my word I nearly hit the floor when I saw this middle school aged kid walking down the sidewalk with a back pack! I asked him if school was in session, and he looked at me weird and said "yeah" like it was the most obvious thing in the world. Come to think of it, it really was. I mean, it is Arizona, monsoon season so it is rather muggy outside, and there is a middle school aged kid walking along the sidewalk carrying a backpack. You think he would do that just for fun?
To add to the enjoyment, he then added that he got on the wrong bus. This poor soul had walked 2 miles in the warm soggyness to get to his pad a few houses down. Now, at the moment I was very empathetic, but man when I got in the house I had a good laugh. Poor kid, he will never make that mistake again...unless of course the cutest girl at the school happened to be on that bus that he mistakenly took.
I finished the Harry Potter book, so all of you that have finished it are now required to call me so that we can talk. For the rest of you, you should know me well enough that I am not a spoiler, so don't even try!!! :)
So I made this video with Windows Movie Maker a few months ago using pictures of Warren and I and "our song" (Ordinary Miracle, Sarah Mclachlen, Charlotte's Web soundtrack). I hadn't watched it in a long time, so I watched it about a week ago. I was rather surprised at my reaction. I didn't cry, I didn't long for him at all. I was angry and frustrated with him. Why, I really couldn't tell you. That he couldn't forgive me? Yeah, that is frustrating. That he talks with me about other girls when we actually talk, and because of that our phone calls are fewer and fewer. I couldn't tell you the last time we talked actually. I guess it has been over a week. I probably won't talk with him for a few more weeks. I guess I am weening myself off of him. And yet, I still love him and if he were to land himself in front of me this very moment and try to win me back, I probably would cave in. It's just, I was so happy with him. Immeasurably happy. I really think he was too.
Alright, enough of that.
I got a job at a health insurance company. My cousin helped me get it, she works for the company as well. How long I will stay with it, I couldn't say. I have applied for a secretary position at ASU's School of Music. I think that job is as good as mine if I really want it, and I do. I checked the salary difference between the two jobs, and if they give me the highest payrate they are advertising for the position, it will be the same as the job I am at now. I would LOVE to work at the School of Music. I mean, can you say networking??? And I would have access to that library! Oh, it just gives me chills thinking about it. And dang it, no matter what job I get, I do it well and to the best of my ability. I hope they will give it to me.
Alright folks, that is all. Love to you all!!! MUAH!

oh!
I have another job interview. It's next Friday (not tomorrow, but the following Friday). It's a receptionist job for a health-care office. It's a bit of a drive from my place, but it's a job interview. I got another call today about a position I applied for, but turns out it's only a part-time position. Did not notice that on the job description. Oh well. Hopefully something else will turn up. :)
Moving!
Guess what! I am moving again. To Arizona. I started moving this last weekend. We rented a Jeep Liberty and surprisingly were able to fit most of my boxes into the car. Emily's birthday was Monday, and I felt bad that we were not home for her birthday. So we got together with a number of our cousins at my Aunts house for dinner and my Aunt got a cake for her. It was meant as a surprise, BUT one of the little ones went up to Emily as she was coming into the house after swimming and pushed her back saying "no no no, you will ruin the secret surprise!" So much for a surprise. :)
Anyways, it was a good visit. I am getting set up with one of my best friends brothers-in-law. A blind date. :) That should be interesting. I think he is barely my height if that. And he is younger than I am. Not sure how much younger.
I had an interview Monday with a Plasma place that was hiring...and they offered me a position...but...you know when you get that feeling that you shouldn't take the job? I got that feeling driving into the parking lot. So I have applied at a number of other places, and I hope to get a position at one of these other places. I think that I can get something better than the plasma place.
How am I doing? I am okay, actually. I am not hurting nearly as much as I used to. I dream about Warren quite often, but I don't have a tough time after dreaming about him anymore. So I really think I am doing quite a bit better. I think that I will not be attending a singles ward when I really do move to AZ though. I really don't want anything to do with singles wards and branches for quite a while actually. I loved being in a family ward way too much in Alabama. There are so many wonderful opportunities to serve in family wards anyways. For example, my FAVORITE calling in Alabama was primary song leader. You can't get that calling in a singles ward. :)
That's all folks. :)

Hot guy alert
Okay, so I am at work, it's pretty much totally slowed down, and so I am messing around on the computer...when this lovely guy walks in. Oh my word, he looks really good. He asks to see one of the sellers here, so I page the seller to let him know he has someone here to see him. He says he will be a few minutes, so I tell this masterpiece of a man to take a seat. He hands me his hand, introduces himself and is looking at me with the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen, and I kid you not! Oh my, he looked so beautiful. So what do I do? I get nervous and tongue-tied and so I don't really say much of anything to him. He asks if I am new, and I say I am a temp here. And then that is the end of it. He sits down, and I pretend that I have something worthwhile to do. Why am I always like this??? WHY!?! :)
He is luscious! Mmm-mmm good!
Okay, just had to share that. Have a good day!

Repentance: A wonderful thing
Okay, so most of you who read my blog are members of the Church, but for those who aren't, indulge me in sharing a story of the Prophet Joseph Smith Jr. One day he went to work on translating the Book of Mormon, a process by which he needed to be in tune with the Spirit. He went into the room, and didn't say a word. He couldn't do it. He walked out of the room, went to his wife, and asked her forgiveness for a disagreement they just had had. After reconciling with his wife, the Prophet Joseph was able to again return to the work of translating. What an amazing story, right? Well, I had my taste of it tonight.
I was about to read the scriptures when I was really troubled by something that had happened between my Mom and I earlier. I walked into my bathroom and I found one of my letters opened and out on the counter. It was a bill. And to be honest, it was past due, although I should not have been charged because I ended my service. Anyways, I got upset because my Mom had opened my mail (my Dad never opens the mail, so I knew it was my Mom). I walked over to her and asked her why she opened it. She said because the envelope had "final notice" written on the envelope. I asked her to never open my mail again. She looked flustered and upset, but she turned away and said okay, and so I walked back to my room.
Now, as I am trying to read the scriptures, I realize that I need to do something for my Mom to let her know that I forgive her for opening my letter and to let her know that I love her. So I made a card for her out of construction paper (I know, so elementary school, right?). I put it on her chair so she could find it there when she was done with the computer. I go over to her and give her a kiss and a hug. She then asks if I had read her email to me. I said no, and so she pulled it up. Turns out she didn't notice who the letter was addressed to until after she had opened the letter. Now I feel like dirt! I felt so bad. Anyways, she asked me to forgive her. So I went and grabbed the card I made for her, and she laughed at the fact it was made out of construction paper and read the card. We both were smiling and laughing and felt a weight lifted. What a wonderful feeling.
I just thought I would share that with all of you. It's one of those sweet experiences that are worth more than all the money in the world.
Oh, and now I can read the scriptures! :)

Elizabeth has a job interview Monday in AZ. Pray for me! Noon AZ time. I applied for a receptionist position. Right now I just need a job, so that is what I am going for.

Oh, and Mr. I want to hang out with you and possibly date you that spread that rumor about him and me didn't show up to FHE, so I wasn't able to talk to him. I doubt I will really get a chance to see him before I leave anyways. Won't be here this Sunday, the Sunday after that is stake conference, and won't be at FHE next Monday. At least, it is very likely that I won't be there. Since Emily and I will be leaving after my interview to come back, we will probably get into town at around 9:00pm. Sucks, cause that is Emily's birthday. BUT I am going to make it up to her. At least she gets to be in AZ for the weekend and gets to hang with Barron! She is happy about that, I know. :)

Sunday
Okay, ready for a twist? So after Church at break the fast, the guy that Warren said he had heard the rumor about ran into me. I looked offended but quickly broke into a smile and jokingly told him I heard a rumor that he and I were dating. He said that he started it, and that he wouldn't mind hanging out with me. I gave him the most surprised look I have and asked him if he was being serious. He said downright serious. Ha! He even tried to talk me into staying. He asked what I thought about it, and I said I would get back to him. I wasn't about to say anything to him that EVERYONE else might hear. I will let him down. We can be friends, but I am not in the market for anything more than that.
Just thought I would share that. :) Oh, and Warren called me and asked me if we were still friends. He asked whether we should stop talking. I was about to go on a walk, so I told him I would have to get back to him, but I really think we should stop talking completely. That way I don't go on this roller coaster anymore. So, here goes nothing.
Have a wonderful Sabbath everyone!
